Ground loop help

I've recently installed a tablet on a mount as my head unit. Works great blah blah blah. My problem is something that has always been there, but has never really been an issue,ground loop. Whenever I plug in my 3. 5 headphone jack while while charging the device from cigarette lighter I get ground loop interference. I understand why it happens I just want some guidance as to ground what where. Do I run a dedicated power to the charger for the tablet? If so where do I ground that as to not get interference? Can I just ground the head unit and cigarette lighter to the frame near the head unit? I do also have a amp in the back seat that is locally grounded to frame powering a woofer. Big 4 upgrade also installed if that changes anything. Any help appreciated, including links to other threads with solutions to this issue. I don't want to add a filter... I want to eliminate the issue.

What tablet? Also, what's the rest of the system look like? My first suggestion would be to ground the RCAs at the same point that your charger is grounded. If the charger is what is introducing the ground loop noise then grounding the signal RCAs at the same point may fix that issue.

This is the current setup but I'll be connecting the 3.5 jack from the tablet to the rear rca inputs to the head unit. How would I ground the rca's and how to trace where the cigarette lighter ground is?

 

The cigarette lighter ground will be directly on the back of the port. There will be two wires. The one that attaches to the outside (barrel) metal will be the one you want. Quick way to determine if this is even worth your time would be to wrap a wire around your RCA ground (the outside, not the pin in the middle). Then stick the other end of the wire into the cigarette lighter so it contacts the outside barrel ground point. If it solves the noise issue then you'll need to finalize your installation of the solution (aka: hide the wires).
