Grommet on new brake booster grommet

I recently changed brake booster on my 98 Tacoma 2wd 2.4l engine. The check valve that came with the new one didn’t look like the one I had on there and had my hose bent all crazy and didn’t hold really well. I took that out put the old check valve in and the inside diameter was to big to create a vacuum tight seal. And the old grommet fit the check valve but now doesn’t creat a seal because the outside diameter is too small. Autozone doesn’t carry this grommet I measured outside diameter 1 inch inside diameter 5/8 of an inch. Only grommet I can find this size is from Home Depot. Any better Ideas if this doesn’t hold or where I can get this grommet that’s actually made for a vehicle?
