    Hello All.
Simple question or issue... My lovely bride is very interested in putting our grocery bags in the bed of our new truck and having them not slide around or to the back of the bed. In our area of the country (world) stores use the very flimsy (although relatively strong) plastic bags. What is your method of holding said bags stationary in the bed of the truck for the ride home (hooks, bungee straps, hammock...)? Thank you for your time and answer. Peace.

Get plastic bins and bungee them closest to the closed tailgate. If you have a tonneau cover, you can just open the first access point to gain entry to all your groceries.

There is a Toyota accessory, forget what it is called, I have one.....it is a gate that slides full length left to right on the bed rails, super easy install and not too expensive...maybe someone will chime in. Perfect as we use ours the same way, keeps stuff from sliding forward and backwards.

EDIT: Called a "Cargo Divider"....Google Toyota exterior accessories.

I toss my crap into the back seat.

If I HAD to toss it into the bed...

    1. Id buy some reusable grocery bags because save the environment bro.

    2. I’d throw the groceries into a larger sturdy container. Think like a few over sized milk crates

    3. Id probably use some sort of bed divider.

Check out the Toyota bed divider, its pricey so you may want to check your local craigslist for a used one.

The bedmat has done wonders for me to keep items from sliding around especially groceries and 12 packs of beer.

The bed mat and bed divider help, but I still experience bags tipping over unless the area is tightly packed. Ultimately I'd like to attach some hooks to a cross bar and hang the bags. My Audi's have always had fold down hooks in the trunk for this purpose and it worked very well.

I have the slider, it’s nice but a bit of a pain with a tonneau as it only moves so far with the mounts of the cover in the way

In the Winter i put cold items back there, just tie the bags on the adjustable tie downs.

the really great part is i chose my. tonneau to compliment it, so the front flap locks and opens to perfectly access the expedition bag. like a perfect trunk. remove all of it including the tonneau in about 100 secs.

Bought one of these and it works great!

    upload_2018-11-5_11-39-8.jpg

Got mine off Amazon. Just search for:
Rola 59001 M.O.V.E. Rigid-Base Trunk Organizer, Customizable Storage, Removable (Black)

I will admit it is a bit pricey, but it is well made, adjustable and gets the job done. While I don't think it would slide around on my bed mat, I have it bungied to the D-rings on either side of the bed.

    Hope that helps.

This is exactly what I did. 3 Office Depot crates zip tied to each other fit perfectly in the bed. You can even get 2 short bungee cords at Office Depot as well.
