GRN numbers... what do they mean?

I've noticed that there are different GRN numbers associated with our trucks, but I'm not sure what they mean...

Example (look at the 2004-2015 Tacoma under the 1GR-FE heading):
How do I find out which one I have? I'm only asking because I'm looking to buy some OEM parts, and there are multiple versions, the only differences that I can tell being the GRN number that they're for.

a dealer should be able to decode the vin or pull your build sheet to see what you have.

The GRN### is your vehicle model code. I believe if you look at the VIN plate on the door or jamb, it will be there.

    Thanks, guys.

I was hoping to avoid the dealer since I don't want them to have a record of my part buys. I'm not sure if that may come back to bite me later if I replace a major component and then someone wants my truck cheaper thinking it was crashed or damaged or something. Is that a thing?

If you only buy the parts, they have no way of proving they were installed on your specific vehicle. However, if you buy the parts thru the dealer and have THEM perform the install, then yes...there will be record of it. They only need the VIN to pull the build sheet on that particular vehicle so they can get the right replacement parts.

Sorry - I realize that now. I had searched for "body codes" and this is where I wound up. I did learn that it's GRN310.

It's on your vin label on the inside of the drivers door.

It's the basic configuration of the truck.

I googled Tacoma vin and this came up, I can tell by the vin and tire size its a 4runner lol.
