Aloha, I noticed green liquid coming from the drain hose the one that drips on the frame and just filled it with ac pro and is keeps coming out even if the truck is off. Anyone know why it's coming out and how to fix? Mahalo

This is a time lapse video of an evap core replacement on a Tacoma.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dqoithYqm8

The first part is they replaced the condenser also you can skip that part the evaporator coil is inside under the dash which all has to come out.

Not for the inexperienced or faint of heart.

Meh, if the video has been fast forward at a speed of 10x normal rate, it looks like anyone of us can repair this in an hour.:anonymous:

Or just take it to the dealership in the video. I’m pretty sure that mechanic has a serious cocaine problem

Yes, the entire dash and the bar have to come out.

If you want to then go for it. It is a lot to take on but it's your truck.

I would confirm the leak is the evaporator before tearing into it. It would be highly disappointing to tear it down and find out otherwise.

    HAHA .. thats my truck.

I posted this over the summer when I replaced my evap core.
Took me two days to do it and my skill level on car stuff is pretty entry level.
I did have to remove the supercharger on my truck to disconnect the lines going to heating core so that added to the time of the project.

And in my case it was the evap core.

If you have a black light look around the engine bay to see if you see any of the dye glowing.

I couldn't find anything which is when I realized I had to pull the dash apart and replace the evap core.

    I do not. Sorry.

Was in a bit of a time crunch when I did this so I didn't grab many photos.
