I hate the location of the A-pillar grab handle, and one doesn't even come stock for driver side. Is there any mod that allows installation of a grab handle above the windows on each side? Similar to the grab handles in the rear of double cabs?

Not sure if airbags are the deterrent... I searched the forums and couldn't find a discussion

I need one on the passenger side. My wife complained about it enough that I just getto rigged a grab handle on the door.
Works as a temp solution until I figure something else out.

Basics. Tires, painted headlighes, UHLM, baby winch in the bed, and heated mirrors :)
Yeah, seems to me the curtain airbag is what prevents the ohshit handle from being in the traditional location. Probably not a good idea to mount a handle there without disabling/removing the airbag, unless you like the idea of taking a 300mph handle+hardware to the temple.

No mounting exist in that location, I have not seen anyone make one for that location, and probably will not be one made.

That's a good idea. Run some self tappers through the door frame right there. Strong, like bull. :curls:

Yes, in between the window and door frame.
From the outside you can see two straps.
I will take some closeup pictures in a bit.

The window opens and closes fine.
The straps are thin enough it just tucks in when you roll the window up. I adjusted the buckle at just the right length so that it will not make contact between the door frame and the cab.

It’s kinda cheap looking and ugly but no complaints from my wife anymore!

That's certainly effective. Where did you get that? Something a bit cleaner would be nice. Anyone figure out a better solution for this? I'm reluctant to drill holes in my nearly new 2023 but it may come to that. My short wife is insistent she needs an Oh sh.. handle. Maybe a couple screws into the top of the door for a strap handle?
