I recently purchased a new to me 2018 Tacoma SR5 with Entune Auto Plus w/Connected Nav App Scout GPS Link. The owners manual refers you to http://www.toyota.com/entune/ for details but there is no such link. I have an Android cell phone.
My phone is connected to the truck, but I cannot find a way to see a map or get a GPS signal on the trucks screen. I'd appreciate anyone that can give me step by step instructions as to how to set it up.

    Thanks

I could be wrong, but I think the 3rd gen head unit only supports apple AirPlay. However, I know for a fact that you can connect an android phone via cable or Bluetooth and play music, make phone calls, etc. Projecting video like a maps/navigation app, no.

You have to download "Scout GPS" from the google playstore for GPS to work the in truck screen.

Not worth it. Stick with the native google maps from your phone and Bluetooth audio cues is much better experience.

But try it out and decide if it work for you or not.

Carplay was not available on the 2018. 2 out of the 3 available head units should have its own internal navigation with a 2018 map as standard.

Does your head unit have the SD map card installed? The port is on the lower right corner of the front.
