    So this is a notice from an outside of Toyota "warranty group" telling me to activate or lose coverage. The truck is two months old and 2000 miles!

    They make it look like pretty official,
    BUT its a third party that has NOTHING to do with my existing contract/warranty with Toyota.

    Only two people know I bought a new Toyota.
    Me and Toyota, I paid cash so....... bad bad Toyota for selling info,

    Sorry for the lighting it's in the shop.

    Anyone else get one?

    Dmv also knows, they are probably the culprits. Trust them less than toyota.

    I'd like to think not but perhaps insurance company? Many aftermarket warranties are underwritten through insurance companies opposed to having the capital to pay out claims.

    These clowns send me sh*t like this on cars I no longer own.

    Just wait till you become eligible for Medicare - holy crap EVERY DAY I get 3-4 pieces of mail wanting ME to send THEM money for SH*T that I don't need LOL...

    Seems odd, I have bought a Jeep 5 years ago and the wife bought a car 3 years ago.
    All 3 vehicles are under the same insurance policy/company and registered through the same County.

    Jeep Buick and Toyota,... this is the first "pink card"

    I think it has to be the dmv or maybe insurance because now that I think of it, I have received these in the past, but it was for a vehicle bought in a private sale. So it must have been the dmv or the insurance.

    It's fake. I almost fell for it. It's a third party company. I had one similar that said to "activate" my insurance. Was the first time I bought a vehicle and got extended warranty so I believed it, but when I called the dealership they had no idea what it was about and said it was a scam and through further investigating I discovered it was a third party company

    I've received it and disregarded it.

    I purchased the Extended Warranty so I don't know why I received that pink post card.

    EDIT: If my VIN was on there, I'd be concerned.

    Or get married to a I Phone. So, the phone can marry your vehicle.

    Just got my first smart phone a few weeks ago. The kids are getting old enough to need to be entertained on road trips and audible is the best way IMO. I would have gotten a new ipod but apple shockingly discontinued them. My dad got the first ipod they made when I was little and audiobooks on a road trip have been a tradition since then.

    I know right,
    The USB port in the dash/console connects to the system.
    However you need to have music/audio stored on what you plug into it.

    Like you said the older music devices would be useful now. "Plug and Play"

    I'm not sure if I'm too old or too young for this thread. On one hand I've been using smart phones for 15 years, on the other I'm old enough to recognize XM as the AOL of hosted radio.

    Your too old if you remember only 3 channels on the TV 3-7-13
    and too young if you missed the cable/satellite take over.

    I could have kept use my old one, but audible won't support it anymore and the apple store audio book selection is pretty poor so it was finally upgrade time for me, no more flip phone.

    i started getting these and others like it within a week of buying my truck
    insurance didn't know and DMV didn't know
    it 100% came from the dealer selling my info
    the other annoying part was that i did buy an extended warranty so i had to read these all carefully to determine which one had the legit info in it

    I miss it when Susan from the Service Warranty Department used to robocall me several times a week on my home phone.:pout:Thanks for nothing FCC!

    The funny thing is I kept hitting the number they said to talk to their service advisors and would give them a totally fake order and waste as much of their time as I could. They would get mad and hang up usually but one person actually gave me their managers phone number to talk to him, so I started spoofing him too and he got really mad, asking me who gave out his number and told me to stop calling and harassing him. He ended up blocking me too I guess.

    My adult kids make playlists on Spotify...pick and choose their songs.

    I use to have i-Tunes on previous computer but have since migrated to a MacBookAir.

    I'm sure if I tried, I could copy to external drive and plug it into the USB and go that way but...I'm too lazy! lol

    I renewed my XM Radio for another year...wife has it in her car too. I'll see if I want to keep it when it expires in June 2023.
