Got a mismatched / two tone topper and truck? It's the best way!

Switched it from previous 2012 access cab. Was going to have it color matched but after seeing it on the 2014 DC I kinda liked it. It matches the TRD decals and the wheels. The cover is actually silver streak metallic and the truck is MGM. the picture makes the camper look a little goldish but it isn"t.

Officially part of the mismatched topper club! Going to keep it mismatched color wise, but not red and blue. Plan is to eventually paint it black, but I have to convince the wife that I can make it look good first. Until then, blue it stays.

 

Picked up this leer off Craigslist for a good price. Initially was planning on getting it color matched, but I think the contrast of the black looks better than I expected

 

I got just the opposite. Ended up spraying it with raptorliner and automotive black over that.

 

i've been looking for a used one in timberland mica green, but havent found one yet. not sure i'm ready to join the mismatched club yet

Not only is mine colour mismatched but also vehicle mismatched. If anyone wants to know if a 2008 Dodge Dakota cap will fit a shortbed 3rd gen, the answer is yes. If you're willing to do some cutting and are fine with some gaps lol. I plan on raptor lining it and replacing all the hardware and such, I will create a separate post going over everything that was done though.

After doing some cutting I was able to shift it forward to get better fitment and have the topper window rest on the tailgate.

 

Found this MGM for my Silver. Looks pretty good I think. Maybe going to see if anyone makes any vinyl that matches the MGM. Maybe do a low key two tone.

Here's mine. Looked forever for a regular cab specific cap and found this one in dark green metallic. It's cool but I'm thinking of trying to unload it for a softopper.

 

Picked up this 100R Monday for my Taco. Saw this one in black and another one north of me in Red. This was worth the 8 hours of driving hands down!

After 2 silver toppers that didn’t color match I decided to go with black. I got this new leer for $700 on OfferUp

 

Scored a decent deal on a used ARE V series with the OTR option (factory LineX.) I’m really digging the black on white and rugged exterior!

 

Wow most of these combos actually don’t look that bad! I’m wanting to get a new cap for mine. Can’t wait to get those 50 posts!
