I don’t own a gopro and I was wondering if anyone has used the built in gopro mount for other things? And if so, how did you attach it?
I would like to use it for my ezpass, but I cant seem to find something to attach my ezpass to the gopro bracket. I was hopping there would be an adapter to stick to my ezpass, but the ones i see all have a hinge type thing on them.

There are dozens of different GoPro mounts. Go online and see what's available. I'm sure you can find something you can use for a number of purposes.

OK, you win. You got me to ask: why not install your ezpass behind the mirror with the provided velcro tabs? What pros are there to installing via the gopro mount? Just to use the mount?

    This.
I have mine mounted just like that and it is so out of sight that I usually forget I even have it.

On my last vehicle, the glue on the velcro tabs has weakened with temperature changes and causes the ezpass to fall off the mirror. I have also used the suction cup mounts in the past and had the same problems. Also, I figured since the mount is already there and blocks some visibility in that spot.

    Working on it.
I bought the extreme clear Velcro to attach my ezpass to the windshield. It works very well and has never fallen off over the years. The only warning is cut it and only use no larger than 1 inch squares in the corners of the ezpass or it will be a fight to remove it, I learned that the hard way. I used a strip along the top and bottom and thought I was going to break my windshield trying to remove it.

Got it... that happened to me too, but only when I tried to transfer the tabs to to a different car. I think you can go into an EZpass center and get new tabs (free?) rather than try to reuse the old ones.

when you say "fall off the mirror", do you mean behind the mirror on the windshield, or literally on the back side of the rear view mirror? I think these tabs are supposed to work on glass.

That dashcam mount is pretty slick. I will probably end up doing that. To hopefully capture moments like this.
