Thank you for posting the link bludweiaer. There is lots of good conversation on the Goodyear Ultraterrain AT tire at the link. We have received lots of solid feedback from customers that have purchased them.

Please let us know if we can help you with a set.

I visited my local Redmond WA store. It's down to the Falken Wildpeak, BF Goodrich K02 and the Goodyear Ultraterrain

    I have a question - these tires, 265/70R-17, on stock Sport rims (17x7.5) - can I use 1.25" spacers?

Thank you for the opportunity at your business, Paul!

You could use 1.25" wheel spacers with the factory wheels shod with 265/70R-17 size tires and shouldn't run into any rubbing issues. We suggest proper offset wheels over spacers, though. Spacers are one more link in the chain, so to speak, that could potentially fail.

I get the link, or weak link idea, but "proper offset"......I understand offset fundamentally but which way and what wheels? I looked at some wheels and frankly not much I like. What wheels have the proper offset?

    Thanks!

Happy to help and great question!

To achieve the same stance that your O.E. wheels with 1.25" spacers installed would, you would want a wheel that is 8-inches wide with 0 offset. An 8.5" wide wheel with 0 offset works as well - it'll just sit about 1/2" further outwards when compared to an 8" wide wheel with 0 offset.

OK that is what I was thinking, BUT I want a wider stance.
