I see a lot of "What Tire?" threads. I did a bunch of research prior to picking up these Goodyear Wrangler Authorities in 265/70/17. This is the thread that made up my mind: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/wheels-tires/233752-goodyear-wrangler-authority-rangers-review.html You should check it out if you're in the market for tires.

I've already posted about my lift and tires in other threads, but I'm so impressed with these tires, I figured I'd start one just to get the info out to those who don't know about them.

We're in the middle of the East Coast storm right now.

I was out today to get my truck aligned. Started out in unplowed conditions. Tires did excellent. Then, the main roads with plowed packed snow. Again, excellent. Next, the interstate with slush on top of packed plowed snow. You guessed it, excellent.

We live on a bad hill. During the last snow storm, I was forced to stop in the middle of the hill. When I tried to take off in four wheel drive the stock Dunlops just spun with the traction control light going nuts. I didn't think I was going to get going again for a couple of seconds...

Today, I purposely stopped in the middle of the hill. The tires didn't even spin. Night and day. Also, stopping in the slippery conditions with the ABS was MUCH better. I hit the brakes too hard a couple if times just to check it.

Glad to hear it! I was looking at these tires but went for the cooper ATP from discount tire. No complaints out in the snow past few days - we got like 8" near Charlotte. I had duratracs prior... I'm sure they would have been fantastic.

5100's all around with OME 884 at 0. Weathertechs, Carhartt seat covers. BFG KO2's 265/70/17. T4R SEMA wheels. 18% tint on front windows. General Springs HD 4 leaf pack, Leer 100 XR shell.
I bought those coopers too. I think they did pretty good the last few days just down 85 from you.

We got about 6-7" and I was out in it as needed with not a single issue
