    Hi Everyone,

I apologize, but I couldnt find what I was looking for in the search area. Im having some issues with my 2001 Taco and outside of the dealership, was curious if there was a good reliable mechanic someone could recommend. Specifically, I believe my rear leafs are shot (they're flat) and its causing a CLUNK sound, so I'd like to look into getting them replaced. Im sure the dealership would charge me an arm and a leg on my almost 20 year old truck so any suggestions would be welcome.

    Thank you!

If you are near Beaverton, I'd say check out Jim Bacon's, at the very least for an estimate of what is wrong.

Once you have an accurate idea of what is wrong you could buy parts online thru one of the many vendors that TW has and have some sort of discount for TW or speacils going on... and install them yourself (if just leafs its not that hard)...

If you don't have a garage/tools, and you still want to do it yourself, call up Mike @ GearHead Garage in Tigard. He has a garage with lifts, and tools for the DIYer that doesn't have a place to work on their rig...

Hey I appreciate the info! I can drive around, especially if they're vouched for. Beaverton isnt too far. Super appreciate it! I mean, I'd like to think that I could swap them out, but i'd rather someone do it correctly because its my daily driver. Good info to know though!
