Good Paint Shops in LA County

Current location is Simi Valley but im in El Segundo area quite a bit. I’m at a point to bite the bullet and buy a Sport Hood and get it painted for my truck. Im looking for some good Body Shops in the area that people may have used with good Paint results. Im specifically looking for one that wont report it to Carfax and ruin my Trucks value.

 

I've had good results with El Segundo Auto Body -- been there several times. My biggest problem they solved was replacing/painting the access cab door skin on the driver's side

 

Rich & Famous in Van Nuys, CA. They've done my Tacoma twice and my wife's car after a side swipe. I've sent some friends and co-workers to them as well. Everyone has been more than satisfied by their work. On one occasion, I had brought my front grille for repainting along with the side mirrors to color match. They called me on the day I was suppose to pick up the mirrors and told me to come by the following day. They sent me a picture of one of the side mirrors and there was a minor blemish at the corner on the passenger side. I told them to not repaint it and it was fine, they gave a me a discount on the original quote. I appreciated the transparency and not waiting for me to arrive in hoping I'd just accept the work.

They're definitely not the cheapest, but for the work that they do, it's under priced if that makes sense. They'll do the job right the first time and I believe there is a warranty on their work as well. They may recommend blending the fenders to match the new hood paint as well. It will depend on your original paint condition and the color as well. I hope this helps and good luck with your search.

They will not report it. I had my truck repainted for different reasons and there was never an issue. The only report I have, is the actual accident I was in.

I’ve used raising star collision in chino to paint my roof and hood I’ve got mgm as well no one could tell the difference in paint, the owner lee is a super good guy too he charged I want to say 600 for the hood
