I’m trying to find out if I need extended cv axles or not and if so which ones to get. I’m pretty sure my lift is Putting alot of stress on the rubber boots and is causing them to fail. My setup is down below.upload_2024-4-18_14-33-16.png

No CVs are going to help you. Either reduce the lift (recommended) or do the boot slide mod, or both. Update with a pic of your CV angles so we can see what you're working with.

Boot slide mod takes about 5 mins per side and just involves removing and replacing the boot clasp after sliding it down so that the boot fins no longer touch. The boot fins rubbing is what's causing your failure. There are 'extended' aftermarket boots available but I think they're probably lower quality than OEM, so I'd just re-boot with OEM and do the slide mod.

Edit: link for boot slide mod: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/boot-slide-mod-no-more-blowing-cv-boots.146070/

Pic of my inner CV boot with slide mod. You can see that the boot is slightly stretched and secured with a hose clamp.

    OEM vs extended boots.

So for the slide mod I basically just take off the clamp and stretch them out farther and use a hose clamp to hold them back in place?

extended axles are for longer control arms called long travel.

you’re having CV issues because you bought and put on CacaParts

modifying the boots may or may not change that.
People recommend max 2” front height with or without boot modification, not “rough country”

934 axles or run an extended boot kit. Any lift more than 2.5" will definitely exacerbate wear on cv axles. Oem has more articulation than aftermarket as well as better boot material. Needle bearing definitely needs to be swapped to a solid unit as well
