My truck just hit 10,000 miles and I am trying to decide what dealer to take it into. I called Toyota Chula Vista, but the service desk was extremely rude over the phone.... Barely spoke english and told me I couldn't drop off my truck for maintenance, would have to wait there as they don't shuttle and don't have loaners. I think they do both but he didn't get it or care. I received the same shitty care at Toyota of Escondido. Almost seems to be the norm now. So both lost my business before they had it.

Where do the locals take their Toyotas for warranty and maint?

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've heard horrible things about Toyota in chula vista, Toyota of El Cajon seems to be ok from my own experience & pretty sure they have a shuttle...

    Yes
Skip the dealerships completely and save some money using a shop like The Truck Shop, they are Toyota specialists and have very reasonable rates.

He just needs to keep his guys out of the titty bar thats between front office & the shop area:D

(shit I'd never even make it to the back)

Thanks, I think thats who I am going to go with. Just switched to El Cajon BMW for my BMW too.

Thanks, just looking for warranty work, and the stupid Toyota care maint they include. I do all my own installs and repairs. But if I get stumped, good to know a shop to use.

    Fuck Mossy... that is all.

Na I bought my Ford Explorer through Mossy and that was the biggest mistake I have made with buying. Hands down the shittiest service department/ dealer in the state. They did maintenance on my Explorer and lost the vehicle, like had no idea where it was. Found it an hour later and they had installed parts from another vehicle in mine and didn't do the repairs on mine. They had no idea what to do.... Mike Mossy called all involved into the dealer in front of everyone and fired all involved. But still wouldn't ever return to those dealers again.

Thanks to all for the feedback, amazes me how much shit dealers get away with.

I live in east chula vista, and I would rather go to El Cajon Toyota than Toyota of chula vista. They are the worst when it comes to service. The shuttle driver just joy rides in the mini van that's why their shuttle service is never around.

Made it in to Toyota of El Cajon today. Friendly service and easy to deal with. I will come back here and recommend them to everyone.

Penske Toyota in Kearny Mesa was good so far. But then again I only went once for a 35k service. They emailed me to fill out a survey online, didn't hear back from them though.

Haven't gone in for service yet, but I bought my truck at Mossy Toyota in PB and had a pretty good experience. No problems whatsoever and was in and out in an hour flat.

I will never take my truck to Kearny mesa toyota ever again. They are penske owned and like Mossy are 100% for profit. They dont care about customer service and employ idiots. They told me my 2 week old air filter needed to be changed. I also had to explain the difference between a u-joint and a slip yoke to them.

Due to the Penske ownership, I didn't take my truck there. I bought my BMW from BMW San Diego, also Penske owned, and they owned me on that. My biggest reason I went up to Idaho to buy my Tacoma, besides being able to get a manual up there.

Mossy screwed me on a Frontier and Escondido Mercedes Benz got me on a c-350.

I bought my taco in Poway. Service isnt much better but Ive only been there once, so I cant really say anything about them. They do give me a nice discount on parts though.

Always had great service experience at BMW SD (been going there for 8+ years). Joe Merritt is the best service adviser i've ever dealt with. Super nice guy and took care of me every single time... Penske body shops do excellent work too.

BMW of Encinitas on another hand.... holy shit.... that whole fucking dealership needs to be bulldozed. They are owned by Auto Nation and pretty much every person who works there is a lying sack of shit.

    Penske > Auto Nation.
