23' offroad and just ordered a new go fast camper and want to hook up the rear brakelight when the time comes. No info searching so I thought I'd ask. Would the easiest/cheapest option be buy the super pacific kit and cap off the dome wire and just figure out the wire colors or order the standard brake light kit and have a extra few ft of wire added? As I see you make this kit with the same color wires as the SP for easy hookup

What colors are GFC? There have been a few requests so I'll add a 60" 3rd gen brake T option right now.

I just got my GFC topper installed and am looking into your harness. Matt from GFC suggested it. Can you explain why this is the desired choice vice splicing? I ask because the shop down here in Cali that install GFC toppers said there aren’t any issues with the splicing and they do it all the time. Figured I’d ask the question. The product itself looks great and nicely made.

Splicing is permanent. This has connections that are able to disconnect. Cutting into wires in your truck can start small problems that are hard to find.

I wasn’t there long enough to ask and they didn’t have any on their install floor.

Hey, new member here to TW. Please be patient with me as I learn. I’ve read many posts on TW but this is my first post. Just got my GFC installed and like others I need to connect the 3rd brake light, I would also like the option to have aux lighting when backing up. The Pro model comes with led interior lighting. My question is .,,do people connect the interior lights with the cab mounted lights that are on the back of the cab and already have a switch inside? Thanks for any input as I figure out what I’m going to do for solar/aux power ect in future projects as $$$ allows after buy the GFC

The harness that @daveeasa provides is about the best that you can get unless you want to deep dive into the trucks wiring harnesses. Due to the GFC light only having two wires: positive and negative, you are limited to what you can do with it. I have the harness in hand (many thanks, Dave) but have yet to install it.

Thanks, I’ll probably go with the same one you have then. I guess I thought with the already existing third brake light and cab mounted bed light there would be and easy way to just extend that to the rear and have built in power switch to turn lights on from the cab to the GFC?

This harness is what I’d do on a 2020+ if not going full TAG:

    https://fbchs.square.site/product/tacoma-2020-2023-brake-and-bed-t-to-deutsch-flange/44

More discussion and hopefully some installation examples and photos here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fbc-tag-deutsch-flange-harness-installations.825701/

my personal build thread has some photos of my setup. I have a leer w pop n lock so I run a 6 position flange.

Im not sure what the GFC looks like on the receiving end so feel free to post photos. I’ve seen the superpacific in person but not a GFC, or at least not the wiring for one.
