Glove box latch fix

    any body know how to be able to fix the latch or even to disassemble the glove box after removing it from the truck? I think I have to separate the black part off the gray part but don’t see how.

    Not sure re disassembly, but is the latch busted and you're trying to replace it?

    Yeah! But I busted trying to detached the black part with the grey part. They are stick together with glue which is really poor way to put this 2 part together ‍♂️. End up ordering a new glove box.

    Which would be fine if the latch would have a plate to unscrew just the latch. UGH....

    Always something with a vehicle..

    Unfortunately you got to buy a whole new glove box. I'll double check the parts diagrams and report back if different.

    EDIT: OP it appears as though if you have a locking latch that piece can be replaced. Otherwise its the whole assembly.

    2009 pre runner. Short bed.
    Having same issue, gonna taje apart tommorow examine latch and try to repair/ or salvage...lmk any updates.
