Ok ive searched and read so many posts about tires and came down to two of the most common. The general grabber at2 and the nitto terra grapplers. I have a 2011 tacoma trd offroad 2wd with the tow package and do a little offroading and trail riding and go to the lake pulling a boat once in awhile aswell. Most of the time I drive all highway miles. I live in an area that gets all types of weather but mostly hot n dry however it floods once in awhile during monsoon season and snows and ice very little but get enough to cover the ground. I also want to go to the 265/75 from the stock 265/70 and have read I wont have any problems with rubbing so just a lil clarity on that would be good. Another question is what does the difference of lt or p I understand its light truck and passenger but what does that mean? I saw it says 10ply or 6ply? Does that mean its more stronger of a tire? Would that affect the ride feeling? I have a couple friends that have nitto trail grapplers and gave good reviews on tread life and offroad conditions but dont know if it would be worth the price for an offroad tire. So from your personal experience what do u think is best for my truck?
Now for the second part of the post...im at 77000 miles and due for my 75000 oil change. I keep up with the regular maintenance and do it at the stealership cuz Im to lazy to do it myself even tho I do it myself on my car. Im going out of town and plan on driving the truck. The dealership told me im scheduled for a differential oil change, brake flush, power steering flush and the oil change. The power steering ill change myself but how much do I need the brake flush? And I might need brake pads cuz I hear a small squeak at the end of when I come to a stop. Should I change all four breaks at the same time or just front or back since the squeak is from the back? And any other suggestions I should consider while my truck is gonna get serviced to be ready for driving out of town. Any suggestions or input is welcomed.
sorry for the super long post.

As far as the brake flush, I talked to my service rep at Anderson about this last time I was there. He told me they don't power flush brakes anymore. He said it was causing damage to the systems seals and "O" rings. Especially with the new high tech Anti Lock systems. He said now they use the gravity flush method. It doesn't damage the components of the system and they still get the full flush out of it. It just takes a little longer.

Once you get up there towards the 100,000 mile mark, the service recommendations start getting a little spendy. I recently had the fuel injection system flushed and cooling system serviced. Before that was the differential service. Next will be the transmission flush and service. I have Toyota do all this type of service, I'm getting too old and lazy to do it myself. And we have a great service department at our dealer. I think they did power steering too, I'll need to look into that one. I also had what they call a mini tune up. It's just plugs and a computer check. It all starts coming due between 75,000 and 90,000 miles.

Definitely do the brake fluid. It's best to flush them closer to 30-40,000 miles. Brake fluid absorbs water which accelerates the corrosion of the brake components and lessens the brakes abilities.

Brake pads should be done in pairs. If you're doing the front, then do both front. Rear, both rears. Or all if they need it.

10 ply tires will be heavier than 6 ply tires. Stronger sidewalls. They will be a little less comfortable to ride on in a lighter truck.

Yeah ill prolly do the brake flush and differential oil change. Anybody got any insight on the nitto trail grapplers 265/75r16 without a lift?
