I wanted to check in with this forum re: tires. I just purchased a Cert Pre Owned Takoma (2017 SR) and it came with new tires that on first inspection looked fine. But 1) the gauge seems off 2) (and more importantly) I have never heard of the brand and there is very limited information online. The tires are Geodrive 245/75/ R116.

Love the truck otherwise and it was a reasonable deal. Not sure if I have any leverage to try and swap these out (even if I pay the difference) with the dealer for a more known tire.

Sounds like they are made by Sumitomo, which.....i mean....is probably not the worst thing. Maybe theyd cut you a check for some new tires, or drop the price some if you put up a stink. If its to stay on pavement, theyre probably just fine.

Seems like a discount brand for Sumitomo, which is better known for its other brand, Falken: https://weeklymotor.com/geo-drive-tires-review/ For basic street use they're fine.
