Yea, I’ve seen that one. I’m looking for some first hand experience with the install a few months after completion for any potential clearance issues.

Yea, and I spoke with him a few weeks ago but he no longer has that truck. So, I’m looking for someone who has it installed and any clearance issues that have arised. His install and several others has approx 1/4 inch clearance from the oil filler. I did some messing around and under load, moderate throttle with uphill load, reving the engine, etc... the engine will move about 1/2 inch or so. Now, the engine moves in the opposite direction when in drive, but in reverse or the engine rocking as the vehicle moves the filler moves in the direction of the batteries and it could make contact. The neck and flange is pretty stout so any contact and the valve cover would probably crack or break.

looks good. did you also purchase the batteries through genesis? I am contemplating purchasing one but not even sure if I need it. Driving cross country (multiple times this year) and need my laptop / phone (charging) and a crock pot going most of the time. Not sure I need to invest in over $1k for this setup.

Yeah, I purchased the batteries as well from Genesis. They were shipped from Odyssey and arrived a day before the kit. I purchased so I could be worry free about running accessories. I am building a camping/overlanding rig so it was a good step 1.

Would it be cheaper if I did it on my own? Maybe.. I chose this kit because it looked easy and I didn't need to get into another research project. It took me maybe 30 minutes to install from memory after watching the installation video.

I probably won't be able to give meaningful thoughts until I use it for a while but thus far, I'm happy with my purchase.

Also, the owner Shane has been good with communicating over emails which is nice.

After reading about Crom's issues, I don't like the idea of putting a bunch of weight on the radiator support........ if the weight is transferred to the frame instead of the sheet metal, awesome.

A little bit of every where..starting out to San Diego, going out to south Padre island, then wandering east to around myrtle beach, Kentucky, Nashville then back west through Kansas City, Omaha, Colorado, Utah then home..5 weeks

    Not enough to list
Can dual batteries fit in that passenger side open area towards the rear? I can imagine the Taco lean is more pronounced with 2 heavy batteries on the driver side.
