Anybody have an opinion on them? How do they do in the snow. I need a new set of 285/75/r16s for my 2nd gen. I mostly run BFGs but the Grabbers are a way better deal.

I've been using them for 20 years. I doubt you'll be disappointed. I talked my brother into trying them on his 2002 Suburban and he loved them. After those wore out he went to something different I cant recall at the moment but he was sorry he didn't go with the Generals again. At that time he purchased them they actually had a higher load rating than the BFG AT

That's hard for me to say because I have a OCD and tires are one big one. When I was younger and couldn't afford much...a flat tire is never convenient.
I think those have a 50,000 mile rating and I'd say that would be doable.
One thing to note is that about half to 3/4 their lifespan they get noisier. I think that's a given with that type of AT. Great in snow and rain.

Cheaper doesn't mean better deal. It just means cheaper.
Tires are pretty important, so weigh more into it than just the cost.

As far as the Grabbers go, I will be putting a new set of takeoffs on my Tacoma in the next month or so. Mostly because my Revos need replacing and I'll have 5 takeoffs with about 5 miles on them, so I might as well use them. If I don't like them, I'll replace. I'm not expecting a lot from them, so maybe I will be surprised. I would not purposefully buy them though.

I’m looking for feedback too. About to pull the trigger. 265/70/17 on E rated with white lettering out! Never ran General tires before.

Here's a 30k mile example wearing well and I'd guess a quarter of inch to the wear bars. 30" tall tire.20210727_172318.jpg

I'd have to look when I get home. Very doubtful they're E rated on this application. Picture are some that are on my daughters TJ. I'll post back this evening.

I have a set on my 4runner and really like them (5000km so far). great in all condition and a much better tire overall than the BFG in my opinion. mine are e rated 265-70-17.

I just switched back to BFG AT on my wifes truck. It just irritated me that the Generals used to $50.00 a tire cheaper and now like $20.00 difference.
