Gen 3 VIN numbers: letters in last 6 digits?

I am looking at 2023 TRDORs. I’m seeing some odd looking VIN numbers to me? My 2016 has a serial number that is the last 6 digits, all numbers. Some brand new ones have a letter included in the last 6 characters? What does this mean? I believe I’m seeing the letter A, B or C. Here is an example:

I am seeing these VINs on dealer website that are vehicles they will receive in future. You are saying they will change to 6 numbers on actual vehicle?

 

Yes, once it is built the true VIN will be assigned and the dealership notified.
