Gen 3 Tacoma dash speaker question...

What is the largest speaker size that will fit in the dash? I was looking at the Infinity Reference 3.5” and was wondering if they will fit?

Edit: I should be picking up my new truck in the next couple weeks... don’t have it yet

 

There are a few threads where people put 3.5’s up there and it required some trimming.

 

Hmmm, not sure I want to be doing much trimming... I was hoping to put some 2 way speakers up there rather than something like the Subaru tweeters... looking at infinity reference or maybe even Kappas for the other 4... I will have an access cab btw

If you can find a set of these, they fit with no mods. They are a 2.5 inch mid with a 1 inch tweeter. I had a set in my old rav4 and they sounded great.

Otherwise, there are a few full range 2.5 inch speakers on the market that will fit also.
