Can someone tell me where the cabin air filter is on a 2000 reg cab 2.7L. It doesn't appear to be behind the glove box. I cant seem to find the location in past TW threads or in the 2000 owners manual. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks for informing of this.
Anyone have any advice on getting cigarette smoke smell out of the air system on a taco without a cabin air filter?

Shit ton of lysol in the vents. Even without a cabin air filter there should still be a fresh air intake you can spray into with the fan on high(switch between defrost, dash, and footwell settings. Work the fabric side too, if you can pull the headliner and deoderize it that will help.

Thank you, I'll give it a try. I'm about ready to start smoking so I don't notice it.

Let a cat pee in it, you’ll forget about the smoke smell.

Seems anything would be better at this point. The heater really brings it to life.

I bet, nothing worse than cigarette smoke if you don’t smoke, except for cat pee.

One of the fun surprises you get when you buy a used vehicle. I don't know how I missed it during the test drive. Not that it would have made a difference, I love this little truck and would have bought it either way.

Take it to a detailer. Have him shampoo everything.
They also have some kind of smoke bomb thing they set off inside that's supposed to help.

I have a feeling it's always going to be there, I'll just be happy if I can get the air out of the vents somewhat fresher.
