Wanted to change out stock H11 to these GE Megalight H11 but unable to find any in stock.
Any other suggestions for decent low beam bulbs?

I ran HIDs for a few years. The HID shake got to me and I would get flashed a lot on tight roads even with them adjusted lol.

Shake? Have not noticed anything shaking. Just the warm up phase.

I was wondering if I would get some flash, even cresting hills, but nothing yet.

Yeah, some people in Tacomas get the HID bounce/shake on bumpy/dirt roads. I had it super bad with the Phillips HIDs (4300K?) due to how bright those ones are. Then I switched to like a 5000k Xenon Depot bulb or something, not quite as bright as the Phillips, so it was less noticeable. The super sharp cutoff with them also had me stressing out on the dark narrow canyon roads lol. To some people, they dont mind it, but for me it really made it hard to see.....if that makes any sense. The intense light from them and then being cut off so clean, just the contrast messed me up on pitch black roads. But they were bright I'll tell ya!

I've made it back to the H9 bulbs and I am content for the most part with them...specially now that I got the high beam+ fog mod. Got to use that going up the canyon last night and it was awesome.

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
I've had standard Hella H9s in for about 2 years. Don't do a ton of night driving but when I do, I appreciate having the extra light for cheap.

I have not seen that shake yet, thankfully and am using a cheap 5000k / 35w kit from Amazon.

Great to hear about the fog light mod. I'm looking forward to it.

Enjoy your purchase, but no LED has come close to the performance, in actual terms, of the performance H11's or the simple H9 swap. Some come close to a stock, long life h11.

The change in color temperature accounts for the majorirt of the apparent increase in available light. It's brighter, in the sense your eye is more sensitive to it, but it's not as effective as a halogen, as there is significantly less red and green light produced in a cold white LED.

Read the first post in this about LED bulbs in a halogen housing: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-hid-vs-led-vs-halogen-h11-projector-headlights.589465/

The improperly focused increased light is the problem. The drivers coming in the other direction suffer, not you. Maybe try driving another car on the road facing your truck (someone else drives your truck). Civics, Corollas, SUVs, etc to get the full experience.
