    Hello gents.

Has anyone installed a GDP compssor in their taco? rock auto seems to think it's the most ordered part... seemed odd as it's not OEM, so I thought I'd see if anyone had some experience with it.

for reference the Denso is $130 more + $20 extra for shipping.

I put some of the refrigerant + dye in and it seems my seal on the front side of the compressor is gone along with my condesor

Do you enjoy gambling at a casino?

GPD - Never heard of it once in my life.

Denso - literally used on every car. OEM supplier to auto manufacturers worldwide. Household name everyone has heard 100 times

You are correct. Compressor front seals can fail, as can condensers.

Actually Delphi is the OEM compressor and in this case Denso is the aftermarket. But...........the Denso is really the Delphi with the Delphi sticker removed and replaced with a Denso sticker. It gets better. Some of the odd ball no name compressors might actually be the Delphi with multiple sticker replacements and reboxing.

At least that was the way it was for a few years following introduction of the 2nd Gen Tacoma first appeared and ToyMoCo had the partnership to assemble Tacomas at the GM facility called NUUMI in CA.

But now, who knows. Perhaps China is now a major supplier? I've seen a couple made in China stickers attached to parts on my 2014.

I'm a little late here but I Installed the full GPD compressor kit on my 06 a month ago. So far it's going strong and blowing cold. No complaints on GPD for the compressor, I actually called them twice with questions and an engineer answered all my questions.

If you plan on replacing any refrigerant lines do not get them from GPD. Both of the hoses they make didnt fit anything close how they were supposed to lol

Good to know abt. the hoses, what did you end up getting that fit up?
As far as brands go it all seems very blurry these days esp. Delphi, not at all like it was 20yrs ago when AC Delco actually stood for something.

Four Seasons fit like a glove! No fitment issues or odd orientations - looked the exact same as the ones I pulled off the truck. Definitely go with them!
