    Seasons greetings everyone,

I am looking for a functional pop-up tent to back my short bed 3rd Gen Tacoma (with RSI SmartCap) into. Unfortunately with the short bed, only one person can fit comfortably on to my sleeping platform, and diagonally at that. Being able to back into a pop-up tent would allow me to safely leave the tailgate down and expand sleeping areas if other come along or my family grows.

    Amazon.com : Gazelle Tents™ G6 Cool Top 6-Sided Portable Gazebo, Easy Pop-Up Hub Screen Tent, Waterproof, UV Resistant, 8-Person & Table, Badlands Brown, 91” x 139” x 123”, GG620BR : Patio, Lawn & Garden

I've been looking into the Gazelle gazebo above, but worry that the entrance is too short and thin for my intentions (heard that before...). Has anyone tried this gazebo or have recommendations for other pop-ups?

If you have a Gazelle Gazebo and are located in Northern California, I would love to try the setup out. The manufacturers did not provide me with dimensions upon request.

    Thanks in advance!

How do you plan to haul said Gazelle? Even my 5 sided Gazelle is too long for the bed of my truck, unless I angle it. Mine is 62.5 inches in length when collapsed, and the one you listed is 77 inches. I do love my G5. Quality is great. Sets up as fast as they say in their marketing

I have the same thoughts on this. With my wife and two kids, the RTT needs a supplement and a pop up like that would be great, but fitting sideways is a pain. I have a 270 FSR awning with a full awning room with floor that we've really enjoyed.

I have a gazelle g6. You are welcome to drive cross country to take a look ;). I use it instead of a truck mounted awning to get out of the rain or sunshine.

Let me know if theres any specific dimensions or pictures I can provide

I was planning to strap it to the top with my trust load bars, probably take a hit to the gas mileage though haha.

I've considered awnings but the reason I went with the RSI SmartCap was to be able to use the truck without taking down the set up and drive off. Something detached like a gazebo seemed like a reasonable solution for this. Also would be nice for ice fishing or shade for lake days.

As much as I would like to, that's not in the cards! Dimensions for the main door (heigh x width) or even pics with how much clearance you could get backing the truck in would be much appreciated when you get a chance.

If the weathers nice and I remember I can do that this weekend.

Something worth noting is that this new cool top gazebo has the ability to roll up the front wall completely out of the way which I think is a HUGE plus.

My G5, and I'm pretty positive the G6, are stuck with something like this, where the screen is attached at the top and sides leaving you only an upside down V shaped opening on the top half. You can see the added zipper on the sides of this new G6 you posted that allows them to roll up, as in the above image.

That's definitely a huge plus, and I also want the G6 Cool Top for the additional D-door in the back.
