    What's up guys!

Has anyone purchased the new Gator "Tailback" Tonneau bed cover? I'm considering getting one for my 2019 DBSB. I like that you can keep the OEM rail system in it's standard position and that the cover mounts pretty easy.

My first choice was the Extang Solid Fold but I've been reading some mixed reviews. Apparently the Extang cover has some issues with denting and water leaks.

Overall thoughts on the Gator Tailback cover? Any issues with it?

I just installed and it was a breeze. Haven’t lived with it long but so far, I really like it.

How is the Gator Tailback secured near the cab, does it use the rails on the 3rd gen for the clamp? Any interference with the rails in regards to the clamps at front and back?

It does look pretty good-Thanks Jason. David, it mounts in the holes for the rails. For each screw, you mount a clip that doubles as support for the rails on which the cover sits and a lower mounting point for the factory rails which drop down a few inches. No interference with the existing gear at all.

All in all, slick system though I’ll be curious how tough these clips are if I’m ratchet strapping down gear.

Hey thanks for the link Adam! I wondered about that, so this clears it up. I’m leaning toward an aluminum cover, this one seems good.
