Not here. That looks like it would put a ton of stress with those tight angles.

@YF_Ryan 's mod will save you a ton of $$$$ and works like a champ:

Pretty pricey at $230. As @tonered said, the chain link mod is cheap and very easy. I do that for my kayak.

I agree, just watching that video, when the brackets are in the nearly upright position, there appeared to be a lot of flex (strain) on the brackets...

BTW, is that the boat launch in Kenmore? Looks suspiciously familiar.

I have a set and love them. I got a smokin' deal on them late last year that was too hard to pass up. High quality made in the USA piece and works exactly as expected. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Does the tailgate easy down function still work with these?

The ease of the chains is quite nice.

Yessir. That's Kenmore. I like paddling out of there. It also helps that it is less than 10min from home.

Just got out for the first time last Friday, down on Lake Union. It was relaxing.

That's quite a paddle from the slough to Lake Union. I haven't gotten my kayak out yet, but I need to use it more than last summer (zero times).

I don't know. That was a lot more give than I would like to see. 1/8in new is going to get worse over time.

    Just my opinion.

Oh gawd no. I've only gone up the slough to Bothell and around the top part of Lake WA. A friend lives downtown and we paddle around Lake Union. The Mountlake Cut is a ton of fun.

Last summer was all paddling and no wheeling. I'm looking to balance that out this year.
