Gas Cap Holder Mods.

I am new in TACO world. just got my Tacoma about a month ago and doing some minor mods.
I noticed that the gas cap doesn't have holder. I came up with this idea and want to share to everyone.

 

Nice idea! One thing though. Fuel vapors will probably breakdown the foam / adhesive?

One thing that has been suggested, and that I use, is moving the tether to the next hole on the door. That allows it to hang on the clasp.

You can also use the clasp itself. Did that for years

 

Why didn’t you insert the wire into the clip Just to the left of the hook you added? That is what I use, and it holds the cap just fine.

Ain’t that what the squiggly part of the tether is for? To hang on the clip latch chingadera?

Best technical description of the day...

 

Me thinks so, but they saved $0.00001 by making the dongle about an inch too short, so the squiggly part doesn't reach the chingadera without pulling the dongle tight, so it pulls the squiggly back out when let go.

that 3m branded double sided tape is pretty stout

 

Gashole all the way - goes well with me being an original masshole.
