The gas cap on my 2012 is very hard to remove. My wife cannot remove it and I have trouble with it. We are not over-tightening it, just one click like it says on the cap. Anyone else have this problem?

Haven't experienced that problem but my cap stopped clicking when tightening. I just go till snug now. Not sure if these caps are prone to problems.

It will loosen up, it's a little tight when new. My new 12 was the same, it's fine now.

Sounds like a good excuse to get a locking cap. The Stant is a piece of shit...get the Murray brand at Shucks/O'reilly Auto Parts.

If it doesn't loosen up after a few uses, check whether the threaded section of the filler tube is actually round. I've seen a couple in the past (not 'yotas though) that were manufactured slightly oblong and the cap easily screws very tightly in there. If that's the case you'll also likely get CELs for the gas cap a couple times a year at random.
