Recently upgraded to a Garmin dash cam mini 2, been enjoying the reliability of the little unit, works great. Was considering moving the original dash cam to the rear, maybe even adding a 3rd camera.

does anyone have a multiple camera setup, if so how do you like it?

Dual setup, with the likelihood of adding a 3rd camera

Any info on how you did it or how it works for you? Considering dual myself although I wish Tacoma would let me utilize the 360 degree cams already on my off road lol

it’s a simple setup, mine consists of:

    Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2
    (Front)

Dongar Technologies Dash Cam Power Adapter 12-pin for 3rd Generation Toyota Tacoma

    X2 Garmin Dash Cam Mini
    (Rear)

    128gb mini sD cards

Powering up rear camera is pretty straight forward, I used the included long cable, and ran to center console USB, hiding wires in weather stripping. PM me if you need any help.

works great so far, love the simple utilitarian feel.

The cameras sync via the garmin drive app on phone, you can add up to 4 if you want- I have 3

You see all cameras active once you start up truck. Keep in mind this setup is simple utilitarian no frills system , if you want
    Something fancier look elsewhere.

I got one several months ago and recently ran into a problem that hopefully someone can help me with, I've searched online but the only recommendation I seemed to find was to remove the Garmin Drive app from my iPhone, re-install and setup from scratch. Unfortunately the problem persists. The phone appears to connect, but when I select live feed all I get is "an endless "connecting to Feed" message. I drove it around and looked afterwards to see if there were any images or vids taken and got nothing. Any ideas?

Garmin recently did a firmware update, after I updated firmware I had a similar issue with my first gen mini. Try calling Garmin CS, they sent me a replacement unit.

is the SD card really needed? seems like if you can see it on the app it should be downloadable to the smartphone

yes the SD card is needed. Videos are saved on card until full and then erased to make room for new. In app you have to select video and download. It’s a decent setup, not fancy but useful.

How is everyone liking the Mini 2? Been debating a dash cam for a while now, think I'll finally pull the trigger. Does the rear view hide it from view pretty well?

    Highly recommend a dashcam,
Highly recommend getting a dashcam, it’s cheap insurance that will help in case of an accident.

    Grab the 67w.

I was debating on the Mini. But what I actually ended up paying wasn't much more. Also ended up making my own mounting system so it's clean and off the window.

You have pics of this clean/off window install? Aside from the screen on the camera (downside to me) what made you choose the 67w?

Fitcam X Front & Rear is the best for the Tacoma, in my opinion

    Following.

Been considering a 47 for the front and the mini for the rear.

Anyone have a topper/shell and mount one pointing out the back? I have a GFC, so planning on something like that.

Would love to see as well. Was gravitating towards the mini for the price/size, but really haven’t done a ton of research on them. would love something completely out of view though.
