So , let me first state that I saw these ideas or versions on the web. As I work to organize my garage (finally) I’m looking for ways to clean up floor space. Two of the biggest tools that took up space was my floor jacks and jack stands. While at Home Depot looking for wood for my wall mounts for the jack stands, I came across a trash bin full of wood “braces” used for when shipping… they make perfect wall-based stands for the floor jacks..and save a lot of room. The wood was free and there were a lot of trash bins full of these.
Just wanted to share some ideas

There may be cheaper ways to do it but all these parts where on sale or on the discount rack … someone returned them so I snatched them up. Let me know if you want me to take a better pic and measurements

I saw somewhere that someone used some 2x4s and made a ledge for totes to slide into and placed them above the garage door space. This is something I want to do for our winter camping storage.

Depending on your garage ceiling height high mounted shelving is great for getting stuff up and out of the way, also using a French cleat wall. I managed to fit all my wood working tools and mechanic tool and I can still fit two cars in the garage.

Too much crap deployed in the garage space.
Needed to be mounted to the walls.
    Just getting started.

that is actually an awesome use for pallet skids! I use to grab those and burn them in my firepit all the time and I have a few at home right now from a delivery. still thinking about how to put away my jackstands though my shop isn't quite as limited on space.

That's funny. No tent, but I have a similar storage plan for my bed rack:

Lots of $ in that garage setup!! Nice… how did you get the air hose to work in that setup? Is there a master tank somewhere?

Did you make the shelves that hold your detailing chems?

Check out this video on easy DIY chem storage… my issue though is that storing expensive detailing chems in the garage greatly shortens their life IMO..due to heat/cold changes all year. Your thoughts?

A use for an old pallet to prevent shovels from falling over and hitting your truck. Not really a floor space help but still good.

Question about the jacks... its not a problem to store them upright like that? For some reason i thought they had to be flat due to the hydraulic fluid inside, but could be mistaken.
