My 2021 homelink garage door opener quit working. I can't get it to sync with the remote. The light is rapidly flashing green when I try to reset the button not orange like the manual says it should. Anyone know what to do fix this?

    Which mirror do you have?

Specifically which gentex model. The instructions are different for different models.

Also, which make/model/mfg date garage door opener?

Any chance any of the items were updated?

My garage-door-app won't work off of my Iphone anymore ( been a few years now ) after we went with
a 5-G wireless router. Apparently the 'apps' only work with 4-G and below. So I either downgrade my router,
which ain't gonna happen, or I lose what was a cool app on my Iphone to open the garage door.

For the App control I went with a chamberlain smart garage control. Very easy install and has an app to control garage door. Got it from Amazon and had it a couple of years. Pretty inexpensive as well.

You should still be able to utilize 4G devices / apps on your 5G router. Check your router settings.

Go Tom the truck turn it on and on the home link hold down the two outer buttons until it flashes and usually goes out . Then press the remote button and button you want on home link and hold down for a while , it will start to flash slow then faster. Release both buttons . Now go to the opener in the garage and press the smart button behind the light cover, …. A led will light … once that happens go back to the car and hold down that same button on the home link . The lights on the opener should go on and off to let you know the freq is learned and it should work

Your router should have two wifi outputs. 1 for your home network on 5G and then a second one that is on 2.4G. I have some items in my house that are the same way. The tech can't handle the 5G but it works perfectly with the 2.4G. You just have to set it up so it connects to it.

I thought that was the case but don't want to fk around with it. We rely on good fast internet as the wife will spend half of her work-week
at home and I do NOT want to fk around with that scene.... absolute worst case scenario is for me I have to jump a fence into the back yard
and fetch a key to get into the house if locked out.

If your provider is any good, they should have it already setup. Curious if you look for your wifi if its already there.

It doesn't run off wifi. It's a Craftsman door opener. It worked fine until last night.

Don't have a solution but maybe your opener is just starting to wear out if it's old. Maybe unplug it for a few minutes then re- plug.

If that doesn't work you could try disconnecting negative terminal on Taco for a few minutes then reconnect. Then try reprogramming. Maybe try and forget color of lights.

do you have a hand remote for the opener, if so and that works then it is the mirror.
then i would try the set up process for the home link mirror.

this may or may not help
