Liner and mat on mine. I don't see why anyone would criticize that combo, put anything hard on the bed liner and listen to it slide around like its on ice.

the chinese instructions are literally a photocopy of this document

i haven't personally seen the OEM one to compare it to, but this one is clearly a direct copy of it, if not overtly sourced from the same factory as they love to do - seems like it is going to be solid. too dark and cold to install tonight, probably tomorrow.

After getting my old bones in and out of the bed a few times over the last few days, I knew the step was almost a necessity.

    I installed mine this evening.
    "1" on the easy scale.

I was almost giggling trying it out.

I bought a 16” tall stool that folds flat and fits behind the back seat for about $18. It seems to do the job pretty well, though I admit that it probably wouldn’t be great on uneven ground and can easily be left behind. The fact that I can buy twenty of them for what the bed step costs is a pretty powerful motivator, though.

install of the chinese knockoff was a piece of cake. fitment is perfect, thing is solid, and had i not bought it from ebay, i would otherwise have no idea it isn't OEM. if you can get one for <$100, it's totally worth it.

yeah…price has doubled. I’ll add to watchlist but not spending more than a Franklin.

they have best offer turned on, try sending them an offer for like $85 - sometimes those places will just accept anything. i am very happy with it, but $100 was my limit for this part too, even if it was an actual OEM.

Definitely will be looking into this when I get my Off-Road. Might just go ahead now and put it on the watchlist like "tonymac" said.

I think I'm gonna order one of these knock offs. The oem one here in Canada is over $600 . Even with price increase of the knock off ..shipping..duty and fees, and money exchange rate, it is less than half price.

I see 4 or 5 sellers of the knock-off. I sent 2 of them $85 offers and they both came back at $160. Might be the same vendor, different names.

Has anyone found a vendor on Amazon or maybe Ali Express?
I just don't want to pay more than $100 for it. It hurts my self esteem too much lol

Hopefully the knock-off won't turn into a hunk of unusuable corroded aluminum after 2 seasons of salty winter roads up here.

I ended up sending one of the eBay listings a $125 offer. Was accepted 16 hours later and received the shipping notification earlier today. Still a huge deal compared to $300+ OEM. If the quality seems questionable I may hit it with some better paint. Probably not necessary based on @thefinalstraw 's comments.

I'm with you. I'll spend $100 but considering the previous Gen can be found everywhere for $75 even the Amazon sale version at $239 seems a little bit crazy to me.

I just got mine installed today. Purchased from ebay, made an offer of $118 and was accepted. Really good quality and can’t really tell the difference between this and OEM.IMG_0127.jpg IMG_0128.jpg IMG_0129.jpg
