    Hello!

have not been active here in a long time. I used to have a 2020 taco then went up to a 2018 Silverado ltz z71. I just recently went back to a 2020 sr5 long bed. I tried so hard to search for differences on trucks and a lot of people saying that you can’t compare them. You can, and here is my two cents.

Full Size: the room inside the cab is unmatched, it’s amazing and feels like a boat. The power in a v8 is so fun to have when you want it. I had a top trim level, so I do miss all the bells and whistles. The seat position is much more comfortable.

midsize (taco specific): the control you have off-road I feel is so much better, you don’t feel like you are driving a boat. I personally don’t mind the smaller cab space. I wanted to camp more and it made more sense to build out a taco. There are so many companies that make so many things for a Tacoma, not so much on Silverado (in my opinion). Lastly just the reliability of a Tacoma, there is nothing matched to it.

I will also be making a video on this with more details if anyone is interested I will post here.

Here is my build so far.

I wanted a new Hilux truck to replace my 1991.
    No such luck in America.

The Hilux is made and distributed with a manual transmission around the world.
Can even get it in a diesel power plant.

    No such luck in America.
I am understanding this is an EPA thing..
Some stupidity about the larger truck having a better weight:emission ratio.
Even when the small truck and small 4-cylinder offer better overall emissions.

Americans like full size trucks so much that every manufacturer is turning their midsize trucks into full-size trucks.

Mid size fits in a typical residential garage, full sized not so well.

    Yep.
The 1st-gen Tacoma and '90s - '00s Ford Rangers were like the perfect-size trucks. Not no more.:annoyed:
