Anyone know the size of the banjo fittings going to the fuel filter? Fuel rail to filter and filter to tank side on a 2.7l 99 Tacoma ? I can’t find anything on what size they are and apparently Toyota discontinued these fuel lines.

I had to spring for the $200 one about a year ago......only place in the US they had..

    YOTASHOP

And as to banjo, dont know size, but this is the correct one...

Careful that those double flares are easy to crush/damage...
the tenacy is to keep tightening until it stops leaking......over tight and you crush the flare........

for zero leaks first tight...I use the seal savers from ac service to safely secure mine without over tightening...

Santech Washer No 6 Flare 5 Piece (autozone.com)

These worked great.....I use them on the whole fuel system where there were flares..

Those oem fuel lines are getting so hard to get.....So I also bought the second cheaper one.....filter to rail one....to keep as a backup..

the 2rz and 3rz ones are pretty much same...

Appreciate it guys . That banjo has to exist somewhere and I will find it and I will flood the market with it before I pay $200 for a $5 hose I just can’t do it. I own a fab shop maybe I can just start building these hoses out of all stainless and be done with it and solve all our problems. I think the port is 1/2” which is 25 mm if my memory serves me correct. Is that how you measure a banjo fitting though by the port size?

Couple years ago this came up.....not because of the hoses, but because someone wanted the fuel pressure gauge without springing for the $ 60 LCE one...

One big problem is the fuel passage on the Amazon banjo one was half the size of oem...

so the oem lets thru quite a bit more fuel....

SO this guy tries numerous times to drill out the small hole......every single time it would fracture on each side of the hole...

so toyota has some process to do this..........this guy was a machinist and couldnt do it....

Several have adapted stainless braided hoses for fuel lines....
its the different fittings you have to come up with to connect everything together that takes some effort...

The problem is this crap efuel that we have now eats those hoses up quick. It rotted that hose and when I went to change the filter it came apart in my hand like goo. I working on a plan right now calculating the hose size and hole in the banjo so it will all be the same except rerouted and easy to get to with a visible pressure gauge under the hood. When I get it installed I’ll post it . Oh and I’m a hard headed prick I won’t quit til it works then I’ll be happy to share and hopefully it will help with this ridiculous delima.

    I've seen both extreme's.

About 6 mo ago someone here converted their 5vz over to all stainless braided....
probably didnt save any money......but was a sight to behold...

Seen other, where they liberate the old metal ends and then crimp band a new hose on em...

what ever happens.....cant risk that rupturing....that would be a disaster

The ethanol is probably safe to use in an emergency situation....
or couple times a year to clean injectors and ports....

But that will make rubber and silicone swell and fail...

and can rust your steel fuel tank out....its Hydrophilic

After hearing this, I super glad I sprung for, bought the rear one too, and replaced the rear tank one, because its very unlikely all the past owners used ethanol free.

But yeah if you can find a substitute for $380 worth of hoses.....might find a lot of new friends...

    Its too late for me......

and by the way.....that doesnt include shipping.....yotashop dont do that free stuff...

I silver_taco you haven’t had problems getting that banjo nut out ? It’s aluminum going into aluminum with gas exposure which equals bad corrosion you might not ever get it back out . Just speaking from previous bad experience . But thank you for the size I contacted those people through Amazon

My thought and reasoning is if I’m 1000 miles away from my house on a hunting trip and that piece of crap hose busts how am I supposed to get me and my truck and my guns back home if I can’t find a readily available part at the parts store. That’s my reasoning behind it

Sometimes can be hard to break that bolt.....its really not seized, that diameter is too big....

but whats happened is they reuse that crush washer and have to really 'get down on it' to get it to seal again...

Make and sell those fuel lines......make two universal ends...
and different connection hoses for the V4/V6's

Someone here already does that for the main power cables that are nearly '30......
