Please take the poll if your truck is on the recall list. Yes I know this is not a scientific poll, it's TW!

As of this date (09/26/2020) Toyota has not offered the "improved fuel pump", they are only replacing failed fuel pumps with the defective fuel pumps from Denso.

You may check your Tacoma to see if it's listed in the recall in the link provided at this website:

Any vehicle has hundreds of items that "might" fail and make the vehicle unusable.

Toyota has identified this particlar item and is working to remedy it as fast as they can.

In the meantime people need to be realistic in their expectations for an immidiate solution.

    A few.
Service manger told be yesterday toyota was fixing other toyota models with the same issue first and that the tacomas would be done last for whatever reason. Supposed to be in October.

Just off the phone with my dealer, they are ordering the pumps by VIN. They stated it should take a few days to week to get the part. My order is in now the wait...

My pump failed at about a year and a half old and 10k miles. They replaced it with the a new but defective design one they had on hand, this was back in May. It runs normally now but said I’ll have to get the new one when it’s available. Figure if this one goes just as long I don’t have to run to the dealer to be the first to get it.

I'm on the list, and as with the vast majority of owners, I'm not experiences any problems at present.
I wouldn't even take the first spot in line if you gave it to me.
    Check here: https://www.toyota.com/recall

If they're in there, they still need to be done.

I'm on the list, but haven't had a problem. I also have a 2018 with maybe 5,000 miles. I guess you can't have problems if you don't drive it. :D

My truck is on the list. I called my local dealership and now they are telling me no remedy yet. They said I can make an appointment for 30days out and thats when they will order it. I asked about dropping truck off and a rental, they said I can but no guarantee's I will get a comparable vehicle. This is getting ridiculous.

Just drive the damned thing, and quit worrying about it.

If it fails THEN deal with it.
