I am trying to identify where everything goes on the intake chamber and throttle body. One fuel line. A water/coolant in and out, the rest are all vacuum? Right?
Look at these 2 pics. The line I am pointing at is fuel. Right? The unit is turned over so you can see the bottom. The second pics is the same thing but a better view with my hand out of the way. Is this the fuel line in?
I have looked for a diagram, or parts drawing. I can not find anything in the FSM or online. If anyone has that, it may need to be preserved here in a sticky.
    Thanks

It's unlikely to be fuel. More likely a coolant line going to the IAC. The FSM calls it a Water Bypass Hose:

Fuel line will be going to the fuel rail that holds the injectors in. No fuel lines to the throttle body

Theres a steel hose that comes off your thermostat....that feeds the heater core....
on its way to the heater core there is a little branch line that comes off that hard line...
that little tube feeds the carb to warm it up......thats the little hose your touching....
should be a line goes into the iac .....iac seal against the TB....and then a line feeds that water out and back into a y connector bolted/feeds into back of head......

Mines a 98 2rz....so that little hose feeds my egr valve first....then shoots out that and then into the IAC......
Pretty sure they got rid of egr after 2000's.....at least on 2rz s.......

And these are not carbureted .....no fuel in these ....they are thottle body's...EFI........

I got rid of all those black hoses.....when to high temp braided silicone on water lines...in blue so they're easily inspected in the future......

Only one I couldnt get rid of....was that little one that feeds to egr.....too many twists/turns.....had to use oem......at least on the egr model......
    .....so I keep a spare....

For all those that have that egr module....damn sure replace/get a better vac line from egr valve to that module.....that fat ass hose being so short and crooked....it is very likely to wollow out and give u a big ass vac leak......

    this one.......

Perfect! I have heard it said a picture is worth a 1000 words. right-on!

The fuel line threw me off. There's a black can/cylinder bolted to the left side of the engine. One end goes to the fuel rail. The other end is cause of my confusion. Its got to go back to the gas tank. I'll look around for it today. It should be obvious.

I got my transmission topped off with Redline MT-90. drive shaft is installed. Shifter is re reassembled with a new shifter bushing.

Time to take a moment and savor the beauty! Thanks guys!

There's a steel line from gas tank....the fuel pump line....
on dirvers fender that steel line terminates into a flex gas line....
that line feeds into that canaster.....otherwise called a gas filter......bolted down low....
then a another gas line leaves filter....right into fuel rail......

So there's two rubber fuel lines up front....each side of filter.....
and a third that feeds into that steel line out of the tank.......from pump.....in rear....

all other hoses involved are vents and charcoal can lines.....no pressure fittings....clamps....

Fuel return line off fuel press reg will have some pressure....

I've got all three on my to buy list.....after these there are three parts on my list to finish replacing everything thats replaceable on a 25yr old truck.....the 3 throttle cables.....

I will look for that today. I charged a battery last night. The plan it to turn the fuel pump on (switch on) and look for gas leaks. I love a simple plan. I'll keep you posted.

You did a great job cleaning that engine. Very clean.
All that work will be worth it when you get through. Nice project!

    Some Time Later.....

I put most all of it back together. The air intake, and all the electrical plugs. Well, almost all. Check out my first 2 pics. These have no mates.
I thought I could set a battery in it, turn the switch on, and look for the gas flow leaking somewhere. There is none. I don't hear the pump. It doesn't surprise me. Something is goobered up. I would have bet money one of these 2 lines were gas coming from the tank. But no gas here. As seen in the last 2 pics.
It spins over, but never tries to start. I squirted some either down the throttle body for good measure. I don't think its making fire. I don't think it is getting fuel at all.
Time to walk away from it for a few days. Starting to get frustrated.

When not getting fuel....first thing to check is fuses.....
    there's about 3 or 4 used to start/run ignition....
AM1/ AM2, ignition, efi fuse/relay.....and fuel pump relay under dash.....
    did I miss any.....

And thats not my engine......I have AT.....that was one someone got from Yota1 or shop I believe.....that pic is a great reference pic....not many pics out there from back of engine.......

That black plug looks like it might be the water temp sensor right at the radiator hose out from engine....

The second white plug looks like the crank sensor lead connector......bolts to block behind alt....and then a pig tail from it to sensor under alt bracket.....
I'll take couple pics of mine tomorrow...

You are correct on the crank sensor. A triangular shaped plug between the front and 2nd freeze plug, left side. Once I found that myself a few days ago, I actually got it to crank and run, but only for a few seconds (she' alive, alive!) Pretty hyped on that!
The other one has a long pigtail, so what you say makes sense. I have the front of the truck jacked up now to do some more more on the steering. A new outer Tie rod end, and steering knuckle should arrive today. After these are installed I plan to work more on the engine and wiring.
You are spot on with your photo and assist. I really appreciate it! Happy taco traveling!
