Thinking about getting the Freespirit Recreation trailer or something similar for when we want to bring more than our usual camping gear like our mountain bikes and kayaks.

Anybody have any experience with this trailer or something similar that is trail worthy?

I had a 5x10 heavy duty tilt bed trailer (recently sold it) with kayak racks about 5’ above the deck. It went everywhere I wanted to drag it. If I were you I’d get something like that so you can use for more than just camping. Need stuff to stay dry, tarp it. You can then still use it for picking up materials, etc and it’s a lot more convenient than loading stuff into the bed. It was great for camping. Could bring all the fishing gear, bikes, kayak, minibike, used it for hunting etc. IL raised the trailer plates from $18 to $150/yr, so I sold it in protest lol. I never plated my boat trailer so I just drag that around without one. Probably should have done that with my flatbed too, but the extra driveway space is nice.

Thank you Sir. That is the ticket, however I don't go off road. I am trailer poor so I wanted to see another setup. Looks great.

I bought the crossbar setup on Amazon. Malone racks I think was the brand was about $200. I bought the trailer used for $400 with a rotten deck, installed new 2x6 deck, lights, panted drab green and used it for about 10 years and sold it for $1000. It was great to have and I miss it lol. I might buy another if I find a deal. I used it to get loads of free mulch every couple years, firewood, materials. They are nice to have, much handier than a truck bed.

Someone looking for a Luv Box?? Tiny Camper... >8k for my particular setup.

Just need to swap out to a lock n roll! Many other options and build your owns! Can’t attest to its trail worthiness yet... but I gave up on the dream of crawling it up rocks!
