    Hello,

Was reading some posts on here about lube on aftermarket UCA/LCA/Ball joints/etc. With a stock suspension system that makes noise, will it hurt to use silicone lube on the moveable points, even the leaf springs? I know they are sealed components, just curious if spraying them with some silicone lube would be beneficial or be harmful.

    Are they making noise?
I don’t know, but just be careful and not use something like WD40 and actually degrease things. It sounds obvious, but many still seem to do it.

I WoolWax the truck once a year, so *almost* everything gets coated. I also spray between the leaf springs.
I can report that I haven't had any squeaks since I started that routine. Shortly after I had purchased the truck,
the leaf springs started squeaking, but that went away after the first coat of WoolWax.

    Just my two cents.

I wouldn't spray liquid silicone lube inside the ball joint boots. You can get a needle tip for a grease gun and pump a little grease in there if you want. As for the cam bolts and UCA bolt, I covered them in anti-seize and not a single squeak can be found. As for the leafs, I put a powder lubricant on the anti-friction pads of the leaf pack about twice a year and no issues there either. I didn't want to put anything wet on them as I feel it would attract dust and cause creaking.

No WD40, I haven't messed with anything on it. Was just curious thats all.

I've undercoated the truck a couple times with the mil-spec wax spray for corrosion protection (forget the name of it). That shouldn't cause any problems. Have to look into woolwax.

Thats not a bad idea, ill have to do some research on the grease/anti-seize/powder lube. Ya, last thing I want to do is add something that attracts dust/debris and make it worse.

    Thanks for the advise guys.
