Hi there! I'm back with something different, doing regular oil change noticed on the passenger side that the front shock is leaking oil. 2020 tacoma sr5 (regular shocks), 16k miles. Has it happened to anyone here, I guess the dealer warranty is over.

    they may warranty, ask.
Shocks can go at anytime, just depends on how they are used.

Those shocks are throwaway items for most people “upgrading” their trucks. You should be able to pick up a replacement for next to nothing

I don’t see any leaks and I also think many people dramatically overstate the effects of shock absorbers on daily driving ride quality. I think you are fine saving your money.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
You seriously don't see that the shock body and bottom coil of the spring are wet?! You must be one of those guys I see on the road that their wheel bounces a half dozen times every time they hit a bump. Shocks are critical to proper handling in an emergency situation.

Bilstein 4600 came on the trd off-road would be a fine up grade and the Bilstein 5100 even better. Take a look at those.

I forsook shock absorbers long ago. It makes it much easier to bounce over deer in the road.

Like op mentioned the picture is of stock suspension. They are not 4600s. Just for reference when you are looking if you come across these. The ones that come on the truck say Toyota on them I believe true 4600s do not.

If you’re not looking to do a lift, the yellow Bilstein 4600’s have identical valving as the 5100’s they’re just not as pretty and they’re less expensive. Bilstein’s will not disappoint……and they last a long time.
In other word there is no ride or performance difference between the 4600 and 5100.
