does anyone have a diagram that shows how to properly remove the front drivers side quarter panel? I have found a few bolts that I can tell need to be removed, but I really don't want to break anything while I'm trying to get it off... I tried the search and didn't turn up much. any help is appreciated.

There's supposed to be 9 bolts. You have to remove the bumper to get to some and there's one you need to open the door to get to based on what I read. Sounds straight forward to me.

    ...we'll get there.
There are the bolts along the top of the apron (the engine tub), one along the door seam that you can only get to by opening the door (under the side view mirror). You'll need to remove your headlight bolts (so you'll be removing your side markers...those are pressure fit). Then there's the fender brace (towards the front of the wheel well, probably behind the plastic guard). and the two at the bottom front edge of the door (shoot up vertically, with the bolt head facing down).

I think that's all of them. when you remove them all you'll know it's loose

The bolt in the bottom right photo will be the hardest to get to because it’s normal behind the bumper

Sometimes they are glued on with seam sealer and need to be carefully pried off

It should take a couple hours to remove a fender

I'm on here because i'd like to build my own fenders one day so I can fit my wheels over them. I don't want to use fiberglass.

So I attempted to remove the whole panel without reaching it first... I found all the bolts pretty easily, but the major problem I ran into was the very last part I was trying to remove.... it’s a tab that seems to be welded on another tab and I couldn’t take it off... I mean all it needed was a bolt/screw on the tab and it would have been easy... I ran out of light and had to put everything back together because of that welded tab.. located behind the front bumper on the front portion of the panel... I think I have to cut to tab off.... anyone esle?

I don’t believe so. This “tab” is literally welded on keeping me from removing it.. I will post pics when I take this project on again..

I’m gonna go thru the same process soon to, there’s supposed to be one bolt under your headlight and behind the filler panel just above the bumper.3F0B348F-4FB0-4468-A5F6-014D7C3456E9.jpg

I was wondering if there is another piece on the inside/underside of the fender that I’ll need to replace as well, I was cruising rock auto checking prices and it shows another piece, anyone know the answer?
