Anyone have a front mount bike carrier on their tacoma (mine is a 2007). Pulling a pop-up camper and kayaks or surfboards in the bed I have run out of room for our 2 mountain bikes. I have the Tonneau cover on the bed so I don't think racks on it will work....especially since I am 5-7 :) -- Thanks

Depending on how much time you have, you could do a front mount hitch receiver and put a bike rack in it.

Have you considered KBVooDoo's bike mounts?

I made one for the front of my old Tacoma that bolted to the ARB bumper but didn't like it. I found it distracting and I was worried about banging it into something since I couldn't see it as well and it jutted out another foot or so from the bumper. On the other hand I used a front rack on several VW buses I've owned and I actually liked it on the buses. The buses have a flat front and you're sitting up higher looking over the bikes. The rack also made a great place to hang stuff like towels when camping.

Hard tonneau or soft? It'd be easy to mount Yakima or Thule tracks on a hard cover.
