I realized the front lower bumper trim or the front valence panel had been scuffed. I think I parked too close to the parking lot curb.

is there any product to purchase to reduce the look of the scratches? Or even purchase touch up paint? For a low cost

What would be the best alternative to repair / diy the appearance
Rather than to spend a lot at the dealership.

    Thanks.

Attached is a new picture of the scratch:

that's through the paint, not much you can do,,, it needs replaced or repainted to look like it did.

Is there some sort of coating that is bubbling, shrinking, wrinkling on your grill suround?

Search the Buy sell trade sub secction on the forums here. Also try Facebook marketplace OfferUp Craigslist ect. Polish and wax may not work as it seems deep and removed the paint. Touch up paint could work though.

Real answer is ChrisFix has a guide on how to use touch up paint markers to be good enough. It’ll require a lot of sanding and wiping and waiting but relatively straightforward.

I only noticed the scuffing and scratches. I washed it and that was the end result. I’m thinking of buying an aerosol complete kit:

Do you think it would be worth it

You can buy the textured black Off Road valance if you don't mind the black look.

Have you painted any car body parts? It is a bit more complex than professional YouTubers show in videos. ChrisFix does awesome stuff but he's a pro and clearly has a lot of practice.

Your best bet is to take the car to a good detail shop and ask them what's up. If you burned through clear/paint, this is probably a small repaint job. I'd ask someone who has painted w cans and pay a fee. Or you'll have a lot of practice before you'll like the fruits of your labor.

OP’s truck is a 2022, I’d fix this new of a truck properly, but everyone’s situation is different.
You could always attempt the shade tree mechanic route and search for a used one, people often replace this part and the resale is probably for shit,, it’ll just take time to find one semi locally.

Is it just the fairing? I don’t see a problem with them attempting that approach with like $30-40 of supplies first. Worst case is they replace it

It won't be perfect but I bet washing and some paint cleaner/polish would improve it significantly.

Ok, no. I am not sure if you're sarcastic, but that's not the best advice. Cleaner/polish will not do crap if there is a burn through. You can buy a paint thickness meter, check it yourself, then figure out how to paint properly - not from a can - and by then you're several hundred out, even if you shop at HF. Even if the paint is still somewhat there, you can't really blend clear coat, the best bet is sand/repaint. Or clean (possibly sand) Rhino it - again, do it professionally.

Most people who do this shit on YouTube make money because people who do this for fun as a 20 min project fuck up and then bring in cars for a respray. On a '22 car this is a 100% pro job if you want to sleep well and save $. Had it been an '12, it would have been a great learning experience.

Looks like the perfect excuse to put a stubby bumper on similar to the attached photo. Factory image.
Will replace lower portion and hide some of the others.
I had a couple smaller scratches through to white that I used a black sharpie on. After it faded it wasn't real noticeable against the metallic grey.
You have a bit more than a couple scratches.

$1K respray of the bumper and grill surround is the only answer. You will keep staring at the scratch repair every time you walk by your bumper.

All of those parts, including the color-matched grill surround (though, you may need to buy the complete grill to get it) are available from Toyota parts dealers. The bumper valance only comes in TRD Offroad unfinished, but everyone knows that looks better than color-matched, so it's a win-win.
