I'm moving from Virginia to Alabama later this year. Alabama only requires the front license plate with Virginia requiring the front and rear. From what it looks like, two screws are used to attach the front bracket to the truck which leaves two holes in the bumper when removed.

What do you guys recommend to patch up those holes in the front bumper? I'd prefer it to look as if nothing was ever there.

Rear. Or this wouldn't be a problem. :D

A Roll Tide or War Eagle plate would fit you in well.

Or you can use little 'buttons' that pop in the holes as filler, painted with touch up paint. Several folks have done that. https://www.amazon.com/SecosAutopar...License+Plate+Hole+Plug&qid=1628633623&sr=8-2

Not gonna happen w/o body work. But it can certainly look neater than just holes.

Is it on part of the bumper that's painted? If so Bumper Plugs will paint match a set for you, it's like $30 bucks but worth it IMO. It's about the best thing you can do besides having a body shop do it properly but that ain't gonna be cheap.

Start a thread asking someone for a take off when they stick on an aftermarket bumper.

Variable depth automotive fasteners, most good hardware stores have them in the bulk bolts and nuts area. Like 50 c each. I use the 1/4" ones and drill out the hole in the valance to 1/4", they snap right in

eBay and Amazon sell paint color matched plugs and stickers just for this exact reason.

I am so happy that I bought my Taco here in New Mexico. They do not require front plates so the dealer never cut the holes. On one of my trips to California a CHiPpy asked about my front plate at the vegetable check and I told him to check the back plate, there was an exact copy from New Mexico on that bumper. He smiled and nodded me through. I forgot that I had my P-238 loaded and in my pocket just after I passed through. Whew! Forgot to remove the mag and lock it up. Next stop I disarmed myself for my trip to California.

    All of them.
Just stuff it under the seat. Never disarm or lock up your PPE gear.
