So I live in a state that doesn’t require front license plates, yet previous owner (who was from same state) or dealership drilled holes in my front bumper for one. Can I buy just the black part of the bumper and it pops in place with clips perhaps? Can not stand the holes

Update! $6.99 fix, glad I didn’t spend $28+ on those fancy plugs (if I had a non black plastic bumper it would be worth it)

My screw holes were too small for these so I drilled em out with a 1/4 bit and used a box cutter to clean the edges so the plugs would sit flat.

Good luck. I hadn't used them in over 10 years. I was surprised they were still in business when I searched.

    That plug idea is cool.

I would think you could find something at a HD in the cabinet plug section and JB Weld them in, or ask to buy one in classifieds so you can just replace the plastic portion entirely. Anyone running an aftermarket bumper would probably would have taken it off.

Cheaper to cover the holes with plastic button clips or some torx screws from the hardware store, but you have choices.

I replaced that black lower bumper piece. It’s pretty simple and it wasn’t too expensive. I followed the instructions in this video from Taco Bandit. Good luck.

Ha! You’re right, they kinda do look like sensors. This is what they look like…upload_2023-7-18_19-6-1.jpg
    I drilled a hole with a 5/16” bit & tapped them in.

Nice fix. Mine is new, have not drilled it yet. I'm going to see if I can figure out a way not to drill. Maybe I'll just risk the tickets.

My buddy bought his new at the dealership and specifically told them not to drill because he was from out of state and the state didn’t require it. They forgot. He’s still pissed.
