Hello, I've done some research but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for...

    I have a 2007 Double Cab TRD Yamaha Edition, 6.5 Box, 4x4, 4.0L, Auto, 116000KM (72000Miles).

Toyota replaced the rear leafs as per the recall and I installed Bilstein 5100 Rear Shocks.

The ride is SOOOO MUCH better now but I want to replace the front suspension.

I will use Bilstein 5100 front strut.

    Looking to keep stock height...

What coil springs should I use? Replace the strut bearing? Any other suggestion???

    Thanks a bunch...

Thanks for the info on the suspension!!!!

    Here's a couple of pics...
Yamaha Edition has the Running Boards, TRD CatBack , Black Carbon Fiber Dash Stick Ons around the radio and vents (a little cheesy/cheap but I prefer it over the all gray dash), Stickers on the bed (might be more, can't remember). They did remove some options when you got the Yamaha SE........no diff lock, no HD alternator, no towing package, no bilstein

I may have tweaked a few things...
Looks clean! A lot of people told me that 5100s are better for when you do lift. 'Upgrading' to a set of coilovers from a 3rd gen will keep you in stock height range but likely lift the front enough to level you out. Finding low mileage 3rd gen suspension parts is easy since so many people upgrade their stock parts early.

I'm reading that 883 with 5100 will yield about 1" to 1.25" Lift....is this the setup you did on your truck?

Initially, but it will most likely settle back into a stockish ride height.

    Negative. My truck has a 5" front & 3" rear lift....for now

If you want stock height just reuse your stock coils.

Cool that seems reasonable if I end up with less than 1" of lift...

Nice truck! I always like seeing these "editions". My question would be, why are replacing the front suspension? Do you feel it's worn out?

Most people only replace the coils when they want to lift it. If you've put brand new 5100s up front, I would say just leave it.

Is there any difference with 883 coils and factory coils?
I still have stock Bilsteins shocks. And what is the difference factory Bilsteins that come with the truck and Bilstein 5100s?

Is this the Yahama edition as in audio? Or Yamaha edition as in BRAHP? There is a big difference lol

I'm replacing the front cause it does feel worn out and rule of thumb is to change all the way around at the same time. It has low miles but 11-12 years old.

When I go over speed bumps (at low speed), the front suspension bottoms out (or very close to). Also, I have a small rattle in the front when hitting pot holes, I will look for the source of the problem but I suspect the noise is coming from the passenger shock.

I haven't replace the front shocks yet. I want to do it once.

Understood, I misread your OP. You have 5100s in the rear but not up front (yet).

I would consider replacing the bumpstops over the factory coils especially if you want to keep the factory ride height. Those bumpstops could be dry rotted and if you bottom out the suspension it won't be as harsh.

Also, if you preload the 5100s up front you achieve a leveled look at the .85in mark. This will also stiffen up the front a bit and limit nose diving under hard braking and body lean when cornering. I ran my 5100s at 1.75 and liked the handling alot better over stock.

By "bumpstop", do you mean the strut bearing over the coil (#18) or the bumper (#17)?
    https://parts.scarboroughtoyota.ca/...5963688/SUSPENSION-COMPONENTS/8512295.html#18

Are you recommending using OEM for these "bumpstop"

The .85in mark is the second from the bottom?

Thanks for your help and clarification...

The bumpstop is item 17 in the diagram in your link. I know alot of guys on here do upgrade them to Superbumps from Wheelers, or to Timbren so you might want to search around. I haven't replaced mine yet, but will probably go with Super bumps as alot of members have good things to say. I'm sure somebody will come along and chime in about the aftermarket bumpstops.

Yes, the bottom mark would be 0, or no lift. Working up, 2nd is .85, 3rd is 1.75, and 4th is 2.5.
