Hi guys, anyone know which support bracket fits the SSO (southern style offroad) slimline hybrid bumper without modification?

    TIA

C4 will fit, but you need to cut off the stock frame horn studs and use a bolt instead.

None of them fit without modification because SSO uses such a thick mounting flange on their bumpers.

Overland Outfitters sells a killer frame horn bracket, which will really improve the strength of where our bumpers mount. I'd still use a bumper to frame bracket, but this will be my next mod next time my bumper is off.

I have an SSO slimline. The second time I used the winch I noticed the bumper was loose on the driver side. I had partially stripped 2 of the M10 bolts and could no longer fully secure the bumper.

The winch plate on the SSO is too thick for other frame support brackets without removing and replacing the M10 stock bolts so I went with the Overland Outfitters frame reinforcement kit.

Hardest part of the install was knocking out the M10 bolts but with 6 grade 8 1/2 inch bolts securing the bumper now, winching is no longer a concern.

The only downside to this kit is that the bumper sits further out by 3/16" since you add the plate to the frame horn, but it is not a big deal to me given the benefit.

Yes welded to the frame horn which is very thin and mine was bent already so welding in the 3/16 plate made it more robust. The kit also comes with gussets so we used 2 of them to strengthen the plate and the 3 bolts are welded in on each side (the stock M10 were spot welded in and need to be punched out with an air hammer).

If you have an SSO bumper, this is one of the better options IMO.
